Team mafisi

Hello.. Let me take on  an issue we Christian are very familiar with but tend to be silent about it. We hear our colleagues and friends talk about but give a deaf ear to it.

The slogan #TeamMafisi.. It has been used to describe men who could not control their own appetite. Not appetite for food but sex, which the Bible term it as lust.

It is not just about men who are termed as team mafisi but ladies who could not control their pangs for men, they wear revealing clothes, just with a clear motive to provoke men sexually. Others walk half naked, there are our classmates, friends and worse of all we worship with them..

The slogan seems harmless by the fact it is just pronounced but the implications is more than we can think of.  There other day I had a heated conversation with a friend from Jkuat and discipleship coordinator at Technical University of Kenya Christian Union, on the issue is signing the purity pledge cards, what came up is that, we may just sign it, by not for the sake of signing it but rather making a vow to God, of which breaking it is a sin, just like other sins. Now, as we may avoid signing it for the sake of avoiding sinning against God by braking the vow you have made, but still you will found guilt of sinning.

What if you sign it and avoid sinning at all cost, you remain to be sexually pure but what about this team mafisi attitude? Will you and I be found pure in heart and mind?
Does signing it exempt you from sinning? Actually that is the point where more temptation will come your way, but the Bible records that we are not tempt beyond our abilities. Also in the book of James, it records that God does not tempt us but we are tempted by our own evil desires.

Satan is the father of all lies, there are many lies concerning team mafisi, but I beseech thee that the term should not be mentioned amongst we, whom we are called by the name of God..

Just have a look at such “proverb” which can find its way amongst believers so quickly ”
“Two pure people cannot defile each other” Another Christian Mafisi proverb”

Don’t be deceived God can not and will never be mocked, He called us to purity, holiness and righteousness, and we have to live upto that statures.

Just trust God according to Jude 24-25.. You will be safe in  God’s hands..

Team Mafisi is just a deception of lust
