Wandayi allege that Dividing Kenyans with 'Tribal' State House Meetings

Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi has castigated President Uhuru Kenyatta for turning State House into an "arena for advancing selfish political agenda". He said the head of state has perfected the art of hosting delegations at the premises, a move he said amounts to a dictatorship.

Wandayi said the move is "common among collapsed governments where the unsuspecting members of the public are forced to pay allegiance to a dictator through proxies." "Uhuru's latest meetings are reminiscent of tribal delegations to State House associated with dictatorial regimes of his father and retired president Daniel Moi."
The legislator, a fierce critic of Uhuru's administration, said the old mindset has refused to die as "the more things change the more they remain the same." He spoke to The Star on phone hours after Uhuru met more than 10,000 delegates from Kisii region, a perceived NASA stronghold.
