23 years old John Paul Mwirigi clinches an earlier lead as he beats Joseph Mwereria for Igembe South Member of National Assembly.
The third year university student is reported to have beaten his rival for the Member of Parliament seat by getting 19,366 votes in this general elections.
Mr. John Paul Mwirigi was running for the MP seat as an independent candidate facing off with rival Joseph Mwereria who contested on a Jubilee Party ticket.
It is alleged that John Paul Mwirigi has been working as a boda boda in Maua town during the holidays having his campaigns facilitated by his supporters.
The new MP gets himself into the list of youthful citizens who have secured parliamentary seat in the 12th Parliament.
He now joins; Mohammed Ali, Charles Njagua and Babu Owino who have already clinched the lead in their respective constituencies.
