Bungoma police officer, 23, shoots self DEAD in strange circumstances

A 23-year-old police officer attached to the Anti-Stock Theft Unit has killed himself at Mt Elgon area in Bungoma County.


The officer attached to Kipieto Police Camp shot himself on Monday.
It's not clear what prompted the officer to kill himself.
The incident comes barely a month after a female police officer shot herself dead at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) under mysterious circumstances.
The officer, Gaudencia Wausi, shot herself in the head inside a toilet at the Kenya Airport Police Unit offices.
It later emerged that the officer had been frustrated at work by her bosses which might have prompted the move.
