Moi University main campus students are bitterly counting their coins after excessive internet downtimes forced them to spend their extra cash on buying bundles.

The Eldoret-based students are blaming the administration, saying the institution has failed to provide stable Wi-Fi connection – something that they say is vital for their education.

“We better have no water but they bring back Internet. How will I do my assignment?” questioned Sarah Kerubo, a first year student.

Members of the student body have claimed that lack of a stable internet connection has dealt a heavy blow to underprivileged students, explaining that many are now forced to choose between basic needs and purchasing internet bundles.

As the Moi University Students Union elections (MUSO) elections approach, the issue has become a key campaign promise.
