5 Surprising Reasons Women Make Better Leaders Than Men

Men are confident about their leadership skills, and while they are just confident, women do use all their skills, becoming much better bosses than men. The issue is, most women underestimate themselves. No offense, guys, but women make better leaders and here is why:
1. Women have better listening skills
Women have a tendency to listen even when they feel bored, while men are less patient and prefer to take actions instead. Every leader – be it a male or a female – must have excellent listening and communication skills. Women usually take each point of view into consideration and rarely interrupt a conversation.
2. They trust their gut instincts
Our intuition usually kicks in to warn us about bad or dangerous things. While men ignore their gut instincts (you know how confident they are), we women tend to overthink the issue and trust our intuition. Intuition is particularly crucial for people in a leadership role. Sorry, guys, but you need to learn how to trust your gut instincts first.
3. Multitasking is their talent
Hesitate over this? OK. Then, show me a man that can do a few tasks simultaneously without moaning and groaning. A woman can accomplish a project, make a dinner, do the laundry, wash the dishes, vacuum and nurse simultaneously and you will never hear about how tired she is. Men have trouble multitasking and this makes them worse leaders than women.
4. They are more patient
Girls have a weakness for the clothing and jewelry, but when it comes to a leadership, they are more patient than men. They do not jump to hasty conclusions and never make quick decisions. They will rather help their subordinates than get them fired. Men usually compete in a who-is-the-boss-here-contest and prevent other employees from boosting their career.
5. They are generous in giving praises
A male boss considers praises as useless words. A female boss, on the contrary, believes praises help to lift employees’ spirit and boost their productivity. No one wants to hear the negative feedback throughout the day. We all crave a little bit of praising at least once in a while. So, male bosses, if you want to be better leaders than women, you have to learn how to appreciate other people’s work.
Although there is always an exception in each aspect of life, lots of women have qualities that most men lack. Despite all the myths, a successful leader has to take enormous responsibility. Let’s not forget that a leader does more work than others in the company.
If you a woman, who is afraid to be a leader because of all those old beliefs that only men can be bosses, call on all your courage and climb the next mountain in your career. Is there any one of you who believes men are better leaders than women?
