Bungoma residents and other Kenyans should vote for Raila Odinga as he has championed their rights in many sectors over the years, John Makali has said.
The former Bungoma assembly speaker has asked residents of the county's nine constituencies to vote for Raila, who is NASA presidential candidate.
He told journalists at his home that the Opposition leader deserves to be the fifth president. Makali said only a Raila presidency will see Kenya liberated from issues of graft, tribalism, nepotism, poverty, sickness, unemployment and insecurity.
"Let people know we are on the course of redeeming the country from historical injustices. I believe only Raila can assure us of these reforms," he said on Sunday. The politician cited the fight for the repeal of section 2A of the old constitution which he noted has seen Kenyans enjoy a lot of freedom. "Raila has kept the Jubilee government on its toes by pointing out the many graft cases in government ministries. Kenyans should, therefore, reward him with the presidency."
