A meeting between IEBC officials and Jubilee Party members failed to take off on Thursday. This is after the Jubilee team demanded to have NASA in the meeting.
JP secretary general Raphael Tuju and National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale said they will only engage the commission when the Opposition is present.
”We were here at the invitation of IEBC chair, we had a brief meeting where we suggested that for the next 39 days, we as Jubilee members have instructions that all our engagements are done in open forum and where our colleagues will be present (NASA),” said Duale.
Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki, Former Ainabkoi MP Samuel Chepkonga and former Energy CS Davis Chirchir were also part of the Jubilee team. The commission on Wednesday requested to meet the Jubilee party to discuss the appointment of the October 17 election team.
