Did Kabete’s Jubilee MP Aspirant Charles Chege instigate his own kidnapping? Here’s the truth


Juniors aspirant for Kabete parliamentary seat went missing on Friday, April 14 2016.
His car, a luxurious Toyota Prado was found a day later filled with bullet holes near Gitaru dam in Kiambu.


The politician, identified as Charles Chege, popularly known as ‘Chege Fresh’ sparked fear and worry among his family and supporters when calls from his sister went unanswered.

Chege’s disappearance instigated an unexpected protest in Kabete as his supporters took to the road, demanding the police to conduct a thorough search for the aspiring MP.
However, the rich Jubilee politician was found on the morning of Sunday, April 16 2017 in an incoherent state in Narok.

Untidy and shaken, Chege was found by a group of pedestrians in Narok town, which is over 120 kilometers from Kikuyu town, where he was last seen before disappearing.

According to reports that have fast gone viral , Chege was first rushed to Narok County Referral Hospital before taken to the Aga Khan University Hospital for better medical care.
Well, in a surprising turn of events, a number of Kabete residents have accused the aspiring Jubilee MP of staging his kidnapping to get sympathy vote in the upcoming Friday, April 21 2017 party nominations.

Considering the escalating political temperatures in the country and a similar case where a Ruiru MCA aspirant reportedly staged his kidnapping, a section of Kabete residents who spoke to The Spotlight Post in anonymity hold that Chege pulled a similar move to attract pity from voters.

The aspiring MP is currently recuperating as he awaits to answers questions over his disappearance.
Chege was set to launch his manifesto on Saturday, April 15 ahead of the Jubilee party primaries.
