Machakos university student held over terror message, Find Out!!!

Police are holding a University student who caused massive panic after sending out a threat message against Machakos University.

The second year Bachelor of Education student is said to have posted a message on the institution's social media pages warning that it would be attacked on Friday.
According to area Director of Criminal Investigation Henry Ndobi, the warning message was shared widely causing massive panic among students.
Upon arrest, the learner was taken to Machakos Police Station and could be charged with issuing a terror attack threat to the school.

Following the scare, security around the University has now been beefed up to maintain order and prevent any interruption of learning programs.
Previously, several students have been held on suspicion of collaborating with terror groups to plan attacks on Kenyan soil.

Earlier this year, a Kabarak University Law student was nabbed with terror-related material and reports indicated he was on his way to Somalia to join Al-Shabaab.
Prior to that, a University of Nairobi learner had been intercepted at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) with the Intelligence department maintaining he was on his way to join ISIS.
