Following all the noise surrounding his Kenya Certificate of
Secondary Education certificate for the better part of the day, Mombasa
Governor Hassan Joho was summoned to appear before the Assistant
Inspector General of Police to provide answers into investigations
involving him.
Taking to social media, Joho announced that he had received the summons which were only part of the continuing intimidation by the government.
“Intimidation continues. Today at 4.30 pm, I received a summon from Pius Macharia to appear at the Regional DCI Headquarters in Mombasa to record a statement. I have informed them that due to prior commitment, I will personally honor the summon on Wednesday, March 29, at 10.30 am,
“I know I will be vindicated once again and this will never deter me from pursuing the transformation agenda for my people,” wrote Joho.
According to Sources, he was initially required to appear before the AIG on Tuesday, March 28 at 10.00 am to record a statement regarding the forgery of a 1992 KCSE certificate bearing his name.
Joho’s education background confused many as it emerged there are two KCSE certificates bearing his name but with different grades.
One is from 1992 in which the grade is a C+ and the other is from 1993 which bears the grade of D-. Earlier today, Joho confirmed that the 93 certificate is the genuine one and the other one is a forgery.
However, it emerged that he used both certificates to apply to two universities. He used the 92 one to apply and enroll at University of Nairobi and the other to apply at Gretsa University in Thika.
This information was brought to light by his Jubilee opponent, Ananiah Mwaboza, who is looking to unseat him in the upcoming August 8 General Election.
