The Kenyan music industry is growing tremendously by the day. Be it gospel or secular music, the music is flowing at a mega speed and with new twists.
A while back, the music was well received, with the likes of E-Sir, Kleptomaniax, Krupt and Nameless pumping the speakers and making every John, Njeri and Mwende dropping down like its hot.
On the gospel side, the likes of Angela Chibalonza, Gospel Fathers and Rufftone made beautiful music and made even some people turn their lives to Christ.
In this day and age, things have changed and some spices have been added to make music the new generation will relate to.
We have newcomers coming along left, right and centre, and some are giving the legends a run for their money. The music scene is not about to back down. It’s a good thing, considering Kenyan music is recognised internationally, too.
Coke Studio started back in 2013. Many people did not know what it was all about until it hit TV stations and the artistes who were featured were among the top in Africa.
Many years down the line, we’re in for the fourth season, and we just can’t wait to see what unfolds. The best part is that it has featured a gospel artiste for the first time. It’s none other than Bahati, a really young man who is growing tremendously.
Bahati has proven to many people that he was meant to be a superstar and he’s about to work with one of the best local artistes.
Bahati and Jaguar will be doing a collabo in the upcoming Coke Studio season 4. I bet it’ll be a banging collabo, considering they’re both really talented artistes.
