Bungoma Man Ruthlessly Slashes Wife's Legs & Breasts Over "Mpango Wa Kando"

Police in Kapswony village in Bungoma County on Tuesday launched a manhunt for a man identified as Robert Kirong Matui over allegations of fatally slashing his wife after he suspected that she has another lover (mpango wa kando).



Mr Matui allegedly committed the offense on Sunday, June 12 after he confronted his wife identified as Sofia Chematui over the cheating allegations.

A scuffle would ensue between the couple when the wife went on the defensive, provoking Mr Matui to allegedly slash his 25-year-old wife in the legs and breasts.

Mt Elgon OCPD, John Ontiti, confirmed the incident to eDaily. He says police are committed in the search for the suspect.

“The suspect is said to have stabbed the wife with a kitchen knife before slashing off her breast and legs with a panga (machete). The suspect then escaped.”
Chemosesi residents have condemned the cruel act and have urged police to ensure that the suspect is apprehended and brought to book.
