22 Years Old American Songstress Christina Grimmie Shot And Killed In Cold Blood

Christina Grimmie, who had competed in US TV programme The Voice , was shot on Friday night June 10 in Florida after a concert in Orlando.
Grimmie and the pop band Before You Exit were signing autographs and selling merchandise when a man walked up to them and shot Ms Grimmie.
Christina and the band had just come from performing at the Plaza Live Theatre.

The assailant, who was tackled by Grimmie’s brother, shot himself dead. Ms Grimmie died aged 22.
Her body was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Centre for preservation.

Orlando Police tweeted: “With deep regret we have confirmed Christina Grimmie @TheRealGrimmie has died from her injuries.”

Orlando Sergeant, Wanda Miglio, termed Ms Grimmie’s brother a hero crediting him for stopping the suspect from hurting anyone else.

Ms Gimmie started out performing music on YouTube and is known for finishing third during season six of The Voice in 2014.

Responding to the News on twitter The Voice wrote: “There are no words. We lost a beautiful soul with an amazing voice.”
