Former Harambee Stars Captain Dennis Oliech Lands On A Mega Deal (Details)

A lot has been said about Dennis Oliech over the past few months. The former Harambee Stars captain was rumored to be living in a sorry state after parting ways with French based club, AC Ajaccio in February last year.

A few days ago, Oliech came out to address the reports through his brother and local manager, Nixon Oliech.

He said he would seek legal redress against a local daily that first ran the story while dismissing reports that he had quit active football.

After endless trolling, Oliech had the last laugh on Thursday 24th March when he was unveiled as the official brand ambassador of online betting firm Betway.

The one-year deal will see the him represent the company in various functions around the country in a bid to push the brand locally.

Speaking during the unveiling, Betway Group CEO Richard Akitt said he was confident that the football legend will give their brand its’ much needed exposure.

“Signing a Kenyan legend like Dennis Oliech is another significant coup for Betway and we’re looking forward to working with Dennis over the course of the next 12 months.”

“Betway is a world-class brand that is growing rapidly in Kenya and having Dennis alongside us only serves to underline our commitment to the country,” he said.

The deal which is estimated to be worth millions of shillings had a prerequisite that Oliech should not be playing active football.
