KNUT Wants Exam Calendar Reviewed After Court Ruling

Teachers want the National Examination Council to adjust Exam calendar as the country prepares for a repeat Presidential election.

Marakwet KNUT Secretary John Cheberi said the repeat elections will obviously affect the preparation for national exams scheduled for October.
Most schools are used as polling centres. Cheberi said the exam dates can be brought closer to avoid disruptions that may result from the polls. “We are asking the government to ensure that the exams are done before the Presidential elections are conducted,” Cheberi said.
He said KCSE and KCPE exams will be disrupted if they will be done after the Presidential polls. “Let us not allow an election to disrupt exams and the future of our children. Let our children do their exams first and conduct the elections thereafter,” Cheberi said.
