Popular Canadian rapper, Aubrey Drake Graham, better known as Drake, has tied on a billboard chart record that was set by celebrated pop legend, Michael Jackson.
Drake becomes the second male artist ever to have the number one album and number one song.
The rapper’s album Views from the 6 rules the Billboard 200 for a ninth week and One Dancehas led the Hot 100 for the past seven weeks.
The records continue to pile up for 6 God hit-maker as he ties for “the longest consecutive control of the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 simultaneously among males”.
This places him alongside the King of Pop, who did that in 1983 with Billie Jean and Thriller.
The last time any artist was able to achieve this feat was 1992-93 when Whitney Houston held 12 straight weeks at the top of the Hot 100 with I Will Always Love You and the Billboard 200 with The Bodyguard soundtrack.
The popularity of his One Dance track could soar even higher as the rapper set to unleash the highly anticipated music video
